  • Screen printed transfers? Not laser

I have a job that will entail company name changing around a standard logo every 3 dozen shirts. Going on dark shirts, it means changing a couple screens every time. I only have 4 color press so I can't screen white and the other colors needed- 5 of them.
Can't use a digital print/die cut heat seal won't work. Their preference is Soy based ink-none of my suppliers carry it anyways.
I've seen the threads here on laser transfers but I need screenprinted with a white base to go on 4 different color shirts-then I can screen print just the name of each location first, then
flash cure, then lay down the logo decal in place and seal it which would be the final cure for the name drop.
Have to keep the price way down because this is a 'contract' job with multiple orders during the year.
My database is empty on this-haven't had to outsource plastisol decals for many years.
Any suggestions? Company colors are white, red, yellow, green, blue, with some halftone shades or gradients. Shirt colors are going to be dark yellow, red, blue, dark green or white.
I will also be embroidering this but only for polos, jackets, denim shirts and sweats but for that it's an easy digitizing-no shading.

I had another thought...anyone with one of the DTS printers available to give me a price quote for full color left chest size image on Gildan 50/50, 100% cotton, or if you know a source- organic cotton or hemp shirts? The client is an ECO friendly' green energy supplier, almost tree huggers.
Janet, I sent you an email, thanks for the reply.

        Roland,

Txpresss (transfer express)now has digiprints. Not sure what process they use but they work great and you can get the look of a digital printer.

Thanks Steve...I sent them an image to quote on and got some feedback about their processes...still not quite sure if the Digiprint will 'simulate' screen printing or look like an ironed on decal:? I have to have a finished look that is close to direct screenprinting.
Logo has too many colors for me to print direct, plus having a name change every 3 doz means changing at least 2 screens every time-not cost effective.
Still haven't heard from anyone with a direct to shirt printer on what they would charge.

            Roland,

I think Stahl's is using a VersaCamm....so I think it's the same thing you can do? I too was checking them out at ISS Long Beach. By the way, Melco's DTG was very impressive both for speed and quality--and using black shirts. The white was really good! Maybe you need to add another piece of equipment!!!!

              Hey Roland

Did you talk to transfer express about their regular transfers? Probably not the right ink though. And you could give Richard at Fluid Designs a call I think he uses some other inks than normal on some orders.
