    Wayne,

You have the right idea on the maintenance, that's great....

This has strayed away from the original post info and that was the large cap driver thumb screws....they are handy but could be made out of better metal....ever notice that the threaded portion of the screws are flat on both sides???? I have not been able to figure out the thought process on that one!!

Now...have any of you also noticed that included in you "starter box kit", there are two allen wreches laying loose in there? These two allen wrenches have shorter ends then a regular allen wrench. The short ends have a specific use on the machine. One is used for adjustments on the needlebars and the other one "was" used to tighten up allen head screws that were used "prior" to the creation of the large thumb screws used on the cap driver bars.

The short end of the allen wrench allowed the wrench to be inserted between the screw head and the upper bar of the cap driver so it made it easy to tighten......a regular size allen wrench was too long for this.....that was just a bit of trivia for ya....

Moral of the story tho...if ya don't like the new style thumb screws....ya can revert back to the regular old style screws that they used to use...they won't strip or break nearly as easy...
