Go back to the basics. Hooping, backing, material feed, bobbin tension, needles in straight, thread feed tubes correct height, knit fabric stabilized correctly, presser foot set to correct height.... General rule, if the thread breaks cleanly, not enough material feed; if the thread shreds, too much material feed, needle eye could be off slightly instead of straight ahead, needle could have a burr..... you get the idea! GOod luck.
