  • Value of 2009 XT + DS and Amaya OS 9

Sad to say but it looks like I have to start cutting back on my business...medical issues aren't going away. Wondering what a 'decent' price would be to ask for our 2009 (limited hours) XT would be, along with DS9 and Amaya OS 9...not counting the extra hat hoops, regular hoops, All in One hooper, supplies, etc.....local competitor has a dinosaur Melco multi head and told me he might be interested in it so he could do one-offs and testing of designs before running them on the big one...so we have to talk price. Still under warranty, so that and program registration could all be transferred but I don't want to give it away.
Melco website doesn't give prices anywhere so I have nothing to go by except what people are dumping their older machines for here....advice from anyone would be helpful.
And business has started to look up a little-go figure-but I can't keep the business going and get disability, and also have trouble with other issues handling things.
    Thanks
    Roland

I bought a used machine recently--the warranty is only transferrable for a fee (so it really wasn't quote-unquote transferrable). Program registration also costs as well. Just so you know--wish your were doing better health-wise.

I know about the transfer fees, I think someone had said $500-600 or something so that I'm not worried about. It's the value of the XT and programs to give me a starting point.

Original quote for transfer fees was $795. Warranty coverage is $150 per month--none of what you have is transferrable. I'm just letting you know of my experience so that you don't accidentally price yourself so high that no one will even negotiate with you (I did that with a house once).

          Dear Roland,
So sorry to hear that health issues are causing you to cut back. I do hope things will turn around heathwise and you have time to enjoy you summer. Margaret

Last I knew everything was transferable for a fee...so Melco would continue to make money off the units. Haven't heard that it was discontinued...
just tried to email melco through their website-and the email ([email protected]) bounced back, doesn't exits...and the phone to direct sales line...can't even stay 'on hold'-get directed to leave a message and then disconnected!
Anyone with current info on status of Melco and tranfering machines and warranties and such?

              Roland,

Check out equip-used.com. They sell used embroidery machines all over the country (I think most are repossessed). They have a couple of XTs listed now. Good Luck. I'm sorry you need to sell. I hope and pray your health improves.

Signman, those ARE the fees I discussed in my posting. Went through all of this in March of this year.
