  • Need Help!

I have a customer that just contacted me to see if I could get "Trinkets", flashlights, keychains, etc. for his business. Of course I said yes, not wanting to turn down $$. Can anyone give me any names of companies that do this sort of thing. I have a catalog from HIT Promotional Products and Hotline Products, are they good to deal with or is there someone better? I'm new to this whole side of the spectrum and need help!
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Use the 'search' feature here in the board and look for advertising specialties-we had a running chat about it last year and I posted addresses for some suppliers, and the place to join 'free'....www.upic.org
and I mean FREE, absolutely NO charge, no surprises-they are supported by the manufacturers-not by us.
Just have to prove you are a 'reseller' and you get a UPIC number-and access to all kinds of search engines, daily 'email' of specials and flyers from hundreds of companies, and once a year for $85 or $95-I can't remember-you get put on a master mailing list and catalogs start arriving on UPS, Fedex, postal, etc. like crazy from all kinds of companies. Hotline (if it's the right one) is calendars-I use them, I don't know about HIT.
Catch me when I'm not tied up with last minute orders and I can tell you more, the pricing 'code', etc. and what companies are not the real suppliers but are master distributors...

I am looking for plastic beer mugs and stress balls, but I have not reached the minimum requirement of upic, can you point me in the right direction for a supplier? Thanks so much!

Have you called UPIC or just gone to the website? They are VERY lenient with new businesses...I've helped many sign up with them.
You can just your suppliers (teeshirts, totes, etc., even Melco) as references.

You don't usually need to go to/through upic (although that is the only place I am signed up with on the promo products side of things). Try Ariel about the stress balls...they are a very large supplier of them. http://www4.arielpremium.com/
You usually just need your tax id and business info when going to most of the promo guys...the big thing is knowing where to find them!
            Good luck.
