  • Saving jpgs.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas why I might be having some difficulty saving jpgs. to our server, and only getting a black box when opening? This is especially a problem when trying to save a design set on a colored background. Is there a setting I need to change to help this problem? I had no difficulty doing this with version 7, but with version 9.00.099 I just get a black box if the design has a background or is a full back. Even an occassional LC has this problem. Appreciate any input you all might have. Thanks.

    Hi

Don't know if this will help you or not, but the last time I had trouble with saving jpgs from Design Shop, with what you describe, mine was my computer monitor. The video was going on it, had to get a new monitor. After that it was fine.

Also make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader.

What Operating system are you using??
        how old is your computer.

The monitor seems like an unlikely solution.

and adobe should have no impact on the Design Shop ability to save JPGs as it is not the program that processes this information for windows or Design shop.
If your running a computer that is less then 10 years old then you may want to try and remove DS and reinstall it, something may have gotten crupted.

It is Micosoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002. We are in the process of trying to update the video driver, but each time we do, I loose the capability of using 2 monitors. I have one monitor by computer and another over the last few machines. We can do it if we extend our window, but we want the same window on both screens. Helps in moving hoops, or knowing what's up with a machine close at hand. Our disc was from Melco, so I would hope it wasn't corrupted, but then again, who knows. We do not use the internet on that computer except to check for updates, which I have yet to see. Thanks for the suggestion.

How much memory does the computer have? I have seen a lot of strange issues with design shop on computers with less than 1gb of ram
