We have just started a new business since this past August. We had been using a friends machine and 3 weeks ago had our own machine delivered. We sell a varitety of products ranging form tote bags to duffels. My wife does the designing and I do the rest. Since an order can have 3 items which are all different I was wondering how many items I should be able to do in an hour. My hooping skills have improved but I am only able to get 3-6 items finished in an hour. Is this good, bad, or so-so? I am just wondering. Being new I have no idea.

It is not so much how many you get done in an hour, but how much money you make in an hour.

There are a lot of variables that go into your statement.
If you are setting up the designs on the computer and changing thread colors and hooping and running the machine. 3-6 is about average but that also depends on the stitch count as well. If you are doing 15k stitch designs than 3 would be around average. If they are 3k stitch designs, you are below average.
After you get used to things, multi-tasking will help speed things up but I don't suggest doing that until you are comfortable with the machine and software.
