  • Deposit for emboridery

Thanks for all of the information found on the Amaya Users group. I have found many excellent suggestions and advice from the discussions.

We have been developing our embroidery business and learning the trade over the past few months. Our two Amaya XT's are great and we enjoy working with the machines.

I finally got a nice order of over 160 polo shirts. I think we priced them correctly but I don't know what is appropriate for a deposit.

We are purchasing the shirts in advance... then we will embroidery the shirts. I don't know if we should ask for 50% down or 100% down for the deposit.

Just wondering what other professionals are doing with the deposit. Thanks in advance....Delbert

      Thanks Daniel,

I was able to get a Purchase order and the 50% that I requested. I just am afraid to buy all those shirts without sometype of deposit.

        Delbert!

I always tell all my special order people that I require a 50% deposit and then final payment upon completion of the job. That way my apparel is covered and possibly a little of my time is covered as well.
I can tell you that most of my special orders have paid in full and not messed with the deposit which has been great!

        Good Luck!

Would any of you be kind enough to post a copy of your "Purchase Order" agreement. Or e-mail me a copy?

I need to start doing this in my business, and would like to see some of the language used in your forms.

          Thank you.....
