Outline around lettering

I am adding an outline around the word Eagles in brushed script. When I enable it through my design shop auto border feature, it is extremely thick in certain spots of the outline. Is there some adjustments I can make to make this look and run smoother? It's going on the front of structured baseball caps. Thank you!

where you set auto borders you can adjust the outline width the default is 10pt and you adjust up or down there.
