Where Do I Start

Tuesday I have an appointment to look at the Amaya XT. When I buy one, won't say if because it is the only distributor of embroidery machines here in Costa Rica, where do I start. I can hardly wait to get started. I have a little knowledge of digitizing I have Embird and I am on my second Combo home sewing machine. All help and suggestions are welcom

I have found Joyce Jagger "the embroidery coach' very infomative, business and well as embroidery how to.
This board is a great resourse to answer an issue on the fly.

Be sure to get DesignShop Pro '+'. It will save you the up grade latter that you will be wanting.

Learn how to use the control panel and definitely use the trace button before you begin sewing. Then play with the machine -- learn how to change threads, adjust pressure foot, adjust material thickness, change needles and use different types of materials.....get used to changing out the bobbin threads as well as the hoop arms to go from flats to hats! And most of all, ENJOY the machine and don't be afraid of it.
