thread breaks

My sister-in-law just got her new XT Tuesday and has done about 5 designs, but each time she had several thread breaks on needle one. Does anyone have any suggestions for her. She has changed the needle, but to no avail. It is not happening on any other needle. THANKS!!!

Check to see if the needle is in with the groove forward, also make sure the needle orientation is straight or slightly right never left.
