Just a note, you can now pick an avatar (picture/icon) to go along with your posts. You can add one by clicking on your "my profile" link in the upper right hand corner of discussion board pages.

I put a picture under "Your Picture:" and no avatar shows up. Did I put it in the wrong place?

Where are the Avatars? I click on "My Profile" and either I am missing it, or?

Steve: Your picture is not the avatar, that is is profile picture. Maybe I missed turning it on for "junior members". Doh. Give me a second or two and try again!

Confirmed. I messed up. Fixed. Head into your profile now and you should see the avatar option. You can use one of the 200 or so there... or you can create your own, upload to a website you own and link it. Avatars should be 48 pixels by 48 pixels. Anything larger than that will be smushed to 48x48.

I have an avatar image in my profile. Why isn't it showing up below my name in the message boards?

Nevermind. For some weird reason I had to post again in the same forum for it to show up.

It's a quirk of the boards... the avatar gets added the next time you post something - not when you add it. These boards are perl/php based, not MySQL so updates don't happen on the fly, something has to trigger it.

Nice icon. OK, I may have to make some amaya related images Steve. That's sweet

And Jeff... what can I say. I feel like that most days!

I "borrowed" it from Melco website. Shunk it down with Photoshop and there ya go.
Would be nice if custom avatars could be 75x75 so you could see them a little better. The bandwidth is not coming from this server on custom avatars.

We can probably do 80x80. Thats the size I do on my INTERCOT.com site. Need to move the non disney avatars over here first though. Give me a week and I'll see what I can do.

Cool Thanks. I re-did mine because it was saved at 48x48. When you changed it to 80x80 it expanded the 48 pixels to 80 and looked wierd. Looks more like an embroidery machine now.
