My original backing in the big roll is running out and I bought it from Melco. Who is a good supplier for the big roll of cut away thick backing? If it is Madiera, what is it called?

Try American Embroidery Supply. Mention you are on this group and get a 10% discount. You can also get it cut to different sizes. I think it was 3.1oz and 18 inches wide. It doesn't feel as thick as cap backing to me but thicker than the sheets I have that are 2.0 oz.

I know exactly what it is,
Its a 3.1 oz saturate from Mexico
I would suggest a 3 oz "wet laid" ccutaway
