  • Metro Thread?

Has anyone tried this thread? A friend of mine just told me about it and their prices a re unbelievable, I was wondering if anyone has soemthing good to say about it? I just recentl;y purchased over 100 spools from Maderia but they sent me the old design and am planning on returning them unless they give the new mini cone design.
    Thanks for the info!

Never heard of them before. Look like they're out of Denver? AND, the spools look very similar to the old ARC cones, and they advertise Amaya sales. Interesting.

We have Metro thread currently on our machine. We bought a limited amount of it to try it out and so far no complaints. I also purchased their plastic side bobbins and those seem to do the job as well. Do like that I can reuse the bobbins after they are done. They rewind well with the color I want and need. Good Luck.

I purchased a set when they had a big sale. I can't use it on my Amaya XT. A lot of thread breaks. On my Brother ULT home machine it works very well.

I also bought their plastic side bobbins. I can't tell any difference in their performance and the NEB bobbins. They have been excellent for me in my Amaya XT. Their price for bobbins is great.

I finally get to contribute something! Yippy! I get so much info and help from this group. I am such a newbee, I don't have much to offer in return. I bought the Metro Thread and I have no problems with it on my Amaya XT. I do not have thread breaks with it. My last two thread breaks were with another brand of thread. I actually like the large opening of the cone, I find that it is easier to change cones out b/c of it. I also like the shine of this thread. I bought the whole package of every color. Jackie in SC

Jackie, do you need to use a clover or a plastic ring like with Madeira's thread? I live Isacord and RA because you just put them there no need for anything.
                Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. End of school year--three kids---LOL That explains it all. As for the metro thread, I currently have two spools on a plastic ring and 6 just sitting on the machine. So I really don't think you need to use the plastic ring. Hope this helps.
