Design shop Fill application

I have design shop pro plus version 7. Yes I have not bought version 9. Anyway, lately when I digitize a complex fill stitch design, say fill stitch 4, and go into adjust my properties, density, stitch direction, stitch lenght, etc. I hit apply then save my design. The properties I just applied and saved revert back to default properties. For fill stitch 4 it reverts to density 3, stitch lenght 60 and stitch direction 90. Or it will leave the properties and substitue fill 14 for fill 4. It is driving me crazy.
what is the best way to fix this?

Your problem sounds similar to mine except I am using DSv9. Melco tech support sent me instructions to delete my 'defaults' file. They thought it possibly could have become corrupted but that did not work for me.

I next tried a DS reinstall without removing the present DS program. That did not work either.

I next tried uninstalling the DS software and did a clean reinstall. That worked so I am running again. I did not realize the defaults can become corrupted. I just did it this afternoon and it did not really take very long.

It might save you a lot of time to just skip my first two trials and just do a clean reinstall.
