Does anyone know if the cap back hoop sold for the ICTCS hooping system fits the slim line for amaya's??? And where do you purchase one???
THANKS, Amy Broxton
The will be able to answer your question. Just remember that both the ITCTS and the Slimline hooping system come in both a regular and large size. The ITCTS system does have a cap back hoop but the slimline uses a 5.5" round hoop to do the back of caps. Whether or not they are interchangable, I do not know for certain. I would think they should be but it's possible they are not which would force you to purchase additional hoops if you were to ever switch from system to another.

I've used the 4.5" round (Melco gray) hoop on cap backs, found it flattens the material with no bunching up like a rectangular hoop might do...maybe that's the difference?
Tried using the speed clamp and it wouldn't hold the caps down flat without the ripples in the material.
It's not a matter of believing - just want to know why it's better.
I should take a pic of how I do cap backs (and all of ours either have buckle or velcro, so I have no problems getting them to lay flat. I can also hoop them pretty darn fast on the machine accurately.
I could see where a fitted cap would work on a round clamp better though.
Slim line clamp system is great (not sure why I keep calling it the speedframe...that's not what it is called...duh) so you won't regret buying one anyways. Great for just about anything except jackets! Depending on the shirt, you can even go 'over the pocket' and get a perfect lineup because you aren't forcing a 'straight' pocket edge into a 'round' hoop and losing your line up edge.
We have the 6.5 x 5 and 3.5 x 5 and use them more than round hoops!
