If it isn't made in the USA...stay away from it! Check that website-you do NOT GET ANY WARRANTY WITH IT UNLESS YOU PAY EXTRA...does that give you a clue? ALL american made heat presses have an INCLUDED warranty and are back up by the factory.
Stahls, great company (Mighty Press Line), Geo. Knight (makes them for many wholesalers) is a direct from the factory machine-you can buy right from them...made in Mass.
I've been doing heatseal transfers for 35 years...and PRICE COUNTS...you get what you pay for.

I subscribe to another users group and the general consensus there is that you shouldn't buy the small 15x15 size...look for a 16x20. Geo. Knight is the preferred supplier, usually, and a swingaway usually wins out over a clamshell variety. That being said, I purchased an IDEK (http://www.idekusa.com/) at the ISS show a couple years ago and love it, along with a few different attachments (smaller kids platten, 14x17 platten...do wish it were bigger! and the sleeve/pant leg platten). Hope this helps.

I bought a brand called Suni and paid $199 for a 15x15 and have not had a single issue with it. The company is located in Nevada someplace. Great investment for me.

We have a Hotronix drawer style. 16x20 we really like it and it keeps your hands away from the platten like the swing away.

When you get your heat press, go to Sears and get an infared temperature gun. You can make sure you have no cold spots. Also doulble check the actual temp. Also be sure to have a Teflon sheet, too. I agree a 16x20 gives you more options for you live print area.
              Happy pressing!
