Does anybody out there know where I can buy the 3-3/4 inch Stellar scissors with the curved tip and red handles that used to be in the Melcomart catalog style #764125-14? They are my employees favorite scissors to use for trimming and now that I can't get them there anymore I can't seem to locate them anywhere else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David

If you don't find the scissors you are looking for you might try the Heritage scissors at this link. I have 2 pairs of them and paid $27 each for them a few years ago. This link has them for about $18. They are the best scissors I have ever used for sewing and embroidery. They actually come in a straight model too but I have the curved. The point is very small and the angle of the bend is excellent. The finger holes are larger which makes them easy to handle. The handles are coated with a slick plastic like coating that is very easy on the fingers when you use them a lot.

Another GREAT scissor is the Gingher 4" curved blade (we like the one with the larger finger holes). I think Madeira carries them and I got my pair online for around $9-$12. Nice and sharp to the tip of the narrow points and stay that way as long as you take care of them. One hundred times better than the little red ones that Melco used to send out. Just be sure they are Ginghers.

Sharon, I too love the Gingher 4" curved blade ones...I bought a pair right after I got my Amaya...I loved it so much I bought another pair...then for Christmas 2008 I bought my two daughter-In-Laws a pair...I also have found them to be the best scissors to trim infants, toddlers and childrens fingernails...My oldest son and his wife have always had a hard time trimming the boys fingernails...the kids would fuss and not want them to cut their nails...they have never fussed when I cut them with these scissors...I think they used nail clippers...I keep one pair at the machine and another pair at the table to trim threads...I plan on buying more since I really like them so much and they are still as sharpe as when I first got them over 3 years ago...I also have several pairs of regular Gingher that I have used all of my life...
Mom taught me that if I bought scissors for fabric to make sure they were Gingher...I also have Mom's now since she passed away in 2008...sorry this is so long but just wanted to put my 2 cents in about the Gingher brand...until next time...
