  • Pocket polo

One of my customers ordered polos from Cintas, the shirt has been on backorder for 4 weeks and they are tired of waiting. They have asked us to look into getting something comparable to the shirt they have. The only thing I know is: 100% cotton pique, has a pocket, style #69148-44, Hunter green, made in Honduras, RN#51374. Anyway, the shirt samples I have here are not as heavy as this garment. Was hoping someone had an idea of where Cintas gets their garments.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a million
    Maggie

RN# 51374 is registered to Cintas Corp. They probably have sweat shops set up in other countries. I would look for something similar by Outer Banks/Ultraclub/Port Authority, etc.

Thank you Steve. I already checked Outer Banks and PA. I will check Ultraclub. This Cinta's shirt seems very heavy. Any other ideas?

The company I used to work in my full-time job gave us Cintas shirts. (And the embroidery quality was horrible!) Yes, they are a very heavy cotton but I was living in Minnesota so we needed heavy cotton shirts (and 5 other shirts under it and 4 more on top of it and a thick jacket to keep warm in January.) Here in Florida, we wear very light shirts. I'm always sweating in a Hanes Beefy-T and Gildan Ultra Cotton Tees(6.1oz.) but I'm much cooler in Gildan Adult Heavyweight Cotton(5.3oz.) I'm not sure where in CA you are, they may not want a heavy shirt in 6 months when it gets warm again. But then again, maybe you can sell them a warm shirt now and wait till April/May when the employees complain they are too hot, they might order thinner shirts from you again in Spring.
        Climate does make a difference.

We are in San Francisco Bay Area, so the weather is not hot. This customer wants the same type of heavy cotton and the same hunter green. I will check the Hanes and Gildan shirts.
          Thanks,
