What is the difference between a 1 x 1 ribbed and a 2 x 1 ribbed shirt?

It refers to the Knit purl in the fabric
1x1 is knit 1 purl 1 knit 1 purl 1 ect
a 2x1 would be knit 2 purl 1 knit 2 Pulr 1 ect
1x1 would be finer look and 2x1 woud be a bit more chunky. -
Thank you for verifying what I thought it was. The 1 x 1 is often referred as Baby Rib - that was a big hint.
