  • Nylon v. Poly

I am looking at two reversible girls basketball tank tops. One is nylon mini-mesh (Teamwork) the other is poly mini-mesh (Augusta). Neither is described as a "performance" fabric. Does anyone know why/if one version would be better than the other? Thank.

If you were embroidering it doesn't make any difference, but for screenprinting or 'heat seal' lettering...nylon is the worst. Most heat seal won't stick to it, you have to get the right kind-and standard plastisol inks won't stick to nylon without an additive.
Been there, done that...learned the expensive way!
There is also a different 'feel' to the fabric-the nylon is a softer material that 'drapes' better.
The teams/schools I've supplied basketball and soccer jerseys for want durable, long lasting, and inexpensive.
I use High Five as first choice and have never had a problem with them.
