  • Sublimation T-Shirts

    Hey All:

Any thoughts on the best suppliers for sublimation ready t-shirts? We finally got our Epson 4880 Hybrid Chroma Blast / Sublimation IQ printer and want to test stuff out - but are guessing that the place we bought the printer from may not be the least expensive place to buy the t's.

The hanes that are poly on the outside and cotton on the inside are really nice. We have a sample and have washed it at least 5 times and the image has not degraded one bit.

    Hey John,
The easiest way is to go to hanesprintables.com
then use the product locator and look for the Softl'ink shirts in white whichis the 5850 in mens. you have to plug in your zipcode to have it show you the closest locations.
it will even show you current stock levels.

Let us know how the printer is working out!

      Hey Ron:

Thanks! That was easy for the hanes! Bodek and Rhodes in Philly has them and we are already a customer.

Anyone have some recommendations of other brands, products, suppliers I should be looking for with submimation?

Will probably get into printing this weekend!

Hi, An excellent Yahoo group for all kinds of printing and hot pressing is:

        http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Heat_T...ktop_Printers/ --Very Friendly!

Also I have the 4800 and have found that the other groups that I've learned tons on are:

        http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/c...guid=244884900

        and

        http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/E...guid=244884900

I do use Conde.com for quite a bit of the blanks we do and also JohnsonPlastics.com then a few others I can't think of, Bestblanks.com etc.

All these groups are happy to help with finding blanks suitable for the job at best prices and ink etc and the 4000 series group and the conde group are invaluable if you run into any problems in printing, pressed results, blanks, techniques, paper feeding, need help with pressure and timing etc etc.

        Good luck!

Note that the Softlink shirts, while very nice, are not a performance (i.e., wicking) shirt. At the low end of the performance shirts I use the Jerzees 21M, then the Augusta 790, then VaporApparel, and then the higher end stuff.

Conde at http://www.conde.com/ has besides the soft-link different type of T-shirts specially for sublimation. Such as the Dye-Trans and the Vapor Apparel shirts
