Fabric/Steam Press

Hello everyone! I am looking for a way to finish my embroidered product before shipping, kinda fine tuning i guess. I was wondering if anyone else used a fabric press and could recommend a good one for not alot of $$$. Also some input on how well these add to a more professional looking product.

Hi Carolyn:

When we want that kind of look, we actually just use our heat presses (used for transfers and such) to press the clothes flat. Works very well and doubles as a money maker.

Then, we put the items in bags from Uline (if we don't have the original bags they came in.

We also started putting smaller jobs in fabric bags that we heat press our logo on. You can buy nice bags for around a buck a piece and they make a nice promo item.

Thanks John, Could you recommend a good heat press, I don't have a lot of $$$. Never thought of it that way, dont mean to sound silly but is this the same thing business use to make t-shirts!!!! Guess you can tell I am really new at this!!!

I need to look up who we got them from. It wasn't the usual suspects (SanMar, Virginia T's, Broder, NES, S&S, etc). It was someone else. Let me try and locate an invoice or something.

We have three presses now (two 16x20's and a hat press) from Imprintables Warehouse who sells their own branded Phoenix machines that are made by Stahls. They are great to work with and have wonderful tech support.

I think you can get a 11x15 for $795, 16x16 for about $1095 and a 16x20 for about $1295.

They now have a pressure readout (which is great - no more guessing) and an auto open feature which makes it easier to operate more than one press at a time.

This is Geo. Knight Heat Press company, located in Massachusetts.
Stahls has a lot of their machines built by Mighty Press company-I have talked with Mighty Press people and found that out. So they are a 'distributor' more than a 'manufacturer'. Geo Knight-is a manufacturer and sells direct.
