What kind of thread do folks prefer for your AMAYA XT? My Amaya came with the ARC, which works fine, however I cant find a good supplier of the 5000 spools other that MelcoMart. I cant get the website to work and cant always call during the day to order so I need a supplier with online ordering that works. I have tried Isacord , but I have found about 1 out of 4 spools the thread starts falling off the spool and tangling around the base of the spool leading to thread breaks. So, is there a prefered brand AND where do you get it from?

I have been using Marathon out of NJ. Their site is not the best, but at least it does work. I get a good price on the 5000m Poly thread. It has high sheen and a much higher strength than rayon. I have retired all my rayon threads because it is surprisingly weak. And the XT, when you run it fast (and of course we all are speed freaks now) needs a strong thread (and a good design).

Hi! I started using Admelody thread a few months ago - switched from Robison-Anton. Great selection of colors, high shine and much cheaper than R-A thread. Runs great for me - very few thread breaks. Saving sev $ per 5000 cone. I like the fact that color numbers are stamped onto spool so I don't have to worry abt sticky label becoming unstuck. Similar height to ARC thread that is carried by Melcomart but doesn't hang up on bottom of spool like R-A does sometimes. Highly recommend. No connection with dealer just very happy customer!
