golf tournament idea

Hello everyone,
I have a very good customer who is helping to put together a memorial golf tournament to raise money for a scholarship. He has asked me if I had any ideas for some "reasonably" priced items to add to the golfer's goodie bags. I only do embroidery and so far the only idea I can come up with is a golf towel. Neither I nor my husband golf so I was hoping some of my fellow golfing AMAYA friends might have some other suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning!
I sell ad specialties as a sideline to everything else, and there are tons of catalogs just for the golf nuts. I don't golf myself, just can't seem to grasp the futility of trying to put a 1 1/2" ball into a 3" hole a football field away...
If you have sponsors to pay for the goods, some of what we've done for the local Chamber and Hospital tournament sponsors are:
golf tees (very cheap!) scoring pencils, water bottles, even the tote bag for the golfer goodies...'tee' signs (reusable if you do them right), team shirts for the sponsored teams, etc.
If you aren't registered with a UPIC number, it is FREE and gets you dealer access to thousands of suppliers.

I do play golf and agree that doing towels will take up too much time to embroider. Go with Rolands ideas and maybe provide Tees, divots, and even a couple golf balls. Golfers always send golf balls for a swim and never see them again. Now you know why sports stores sell them in 36 packs. I would imagine custom golf balls would be around $1.50 - $2.00 each which is less than a blank towel and you won't spend hours and hours doing embroidery on them.

Steve, you'd be surprised at how much golf balls cost, even stock ones-not imprinted!
All for something you are just going to club to death...
but they pack them in 3-packs for the most part for imprinting, some suppliers will also imprint the packaging.
Cleat cleaners, ball cleaner rags, ball spotting pins, even customized golf BAGS for several hundred dollars...like someone can afford to give them away?
I'll stick to jeeping....
