  • Need Digitizer for Photo

Does anyone know of a digitizer that will digitize from a photo? I need a dog digitized for a hat and left chest without costing an arm and a leg!!
    Thanks in advance.

It's going to cost you, no matter who you get it done by.
I have been lucky...so far anyone wanting a 'particular' animal breed (mostly dogs) we've been able to find that breed in the Dakota Treasure chest...and then sit down with our 288 thread board and match threads to a color picture of the animal, and if I need to 'tweak' the design to match a color 'spot' on the animal it only takes a minute or so.
saves a ton of money over custom digitizing charges-and the customer is still getting a customized picture!

      I think it's a Border Collie.

Suggest you look at embird's site at http://embird.com/new.htm

They have tons of photo realistic dog, cat and horse designs - and like someone said, you may be able to find something close, tweak the colors and have the perfect design.

        Otherwise, try digitizingfactory.com

Reasonable prices, quick turn around and good digitizing...

          Thanks, John!
I tried the embird website and they don't have the image my customer would like but they have some awesome dogs! I'll try digitizing factory next.

For a Border Collie, try Ahead Graphics ... I have used Amy's English Setter and my client was very pleased. My niche market is the dog fancy, and believe me, they are tough customers when it comes to breed accuracy in a design.

If you don't see a head study on her site, email her, she may have one.

My wife might be able to do that. She's digitized a boat from a very large painting someone brought in. She has been getting so much better at this as each one comes out looking better than her last. She would need to see the pic firs, but she has not been charging much yet due to the fact she is relatively new at this. You can send pic to [email protected] if you want her to look at this.
