  • ASI Gemline Rep

Anyone an ASI member who reps Gemline? I am looking for their "On The Rocks Cooler" - I'd love to get a price for 50. Thanks!

My pricing sheet says $7.54 each for blank, but I always call in to confirm. It's not that hard to sign up with them. Try 1-800-800-3200 and ask to be connected with a rep.

Go to www.upic.org and sign up FREE and get your UPIC number...it is a 'competitive' organization like ASI, and PPAI...you get registered as a bonafide 'dealer' because you are an embroidery company, etc., and then you have access to any ASI specialty company. No need to go through a third party-and you will start getting more $$ by adding specialty ad stuff to your sales.

I still cant figure out what i did wrong with signing up for UPIC. My registration has been "pending" for months. Is there some secret to getting in?

Maybe I should just call them...

I just ordered some bags from them and I ordered some last year as well and I am not an ASI or any of those for that matter and they sell to me with no problem.

Yes, just give them a call. It takes about 10 minutes and you should be all set. I've helped many others get signed up.
            Well worth it!

We have investigated ASI and PPAI but I don't see an advantage to paying their membership fee. To my knowledge, I can't get a discount on garments. Since we don't sell promotional products is it beneficial to join these or UPIC?
              Thanks

                Hey Signman!

I finally got my UPIC - calling in and talking to someone did the trick. We had to fax in 6 P.O.'s from 4 different suppliers (Melco, Virginia T's, Sanmar, TransferExpress is what we used). Now what? I hate to sound dumb but bear with me

How do I get promotional catalogs etc. or know who to order promotional items from? This is all new to me but we're anxious to get into this side of the business.

John, and everyone else that joins UPIC...it won't take long and your name/address gets passed along to ad specialty suppliers all over the country. Promoweb and several other 'web' based resources will start to inundate you with daily email flyers from more.
Most of it you will probably ignore, but there are some you'll snag because you remember a customer asked about getting a 'widget' or something with that great logo you designed for him. Why pass up a sale on something you already have the artwork for? Plus you'll get info on bulk embroidery stuff...like ball caps, 7,000 stiches, your COST less than $2.00. I know, you embroider them yourself...but hey, for a huge order, at that cost?
Anyways, email me off the board and I'll throw some 'links' to you that will help you start getting catalogs.

                    John,

There was a Promoshow this past Friday at the Marriott by BWI...will come again in the fall

                    Go to www.asiroadshow.com
Another one coming February 23 in Baltimore
Some are bigger than others but all a good chance to see products, pick up catalogues, and see new lines of clothing.
