Demo Version of DS timed out?

  • Demo Version of DS timed out?

    I have the full, paid-for latest version of DS Pro+ and dongle, but I recently moved to a new house (new state).
    Now when I'm in DS for a while, I get the message, "Demonstration version of DS timed out. To purchase, call Melco ....." Since I can't call them today (holiday), has anyone else run into this issue and know what to do?

    Oh, and I'm on the same computer and I didn't reinstall any software or anything. The only thing that's changed is that I'm living in a different house/different state. Also different internet provider, but I wouldn't think that should have anything to do with it.

      You should have received a permanent code from Melco when you purchased the software. That code needs to be entered In AOS: Tools / Security. You should see a tab called Timed (or something close) where you can enter the code. The next time you open the program that tab will be gone.

        Thanks for the response. But that's not the issue. I talked with Melco and they had me put the dongle in a different port. It seemed to be happening after I left the computer and it was still in DS. He said when the software refreshes and looks for the dongle, maybe there's an issue with an unreliable USB port. Hopefully that's it -- if not, the dongle might be going bad. But he said it doesn't usually give this "Demo Version timed out" error message. So I'll see if it happens being plugged into a different USB port. I'll let you know how things progress. Thanks, MJ
