Installed Fonts

I installed a couple Melco fonts today into the design shop alphabet file but they do not show up when I try to use them. I also seen there is several fonts in the file that do not show up but where installed when the software was. Like I said they are in the file and viewable from the alphabet file but when I try to use them in design-shop they are not showing up. Any Help????

are these melco alphabet files
or are they TTF "True Type Fonts"
Most melco fonts are going to be .alp files or .OFA if they were purchased.
