  • trims on dst

I am doing patches 8 up. I changed the text to wireframe and I desperately need it to trim between every letter - I really do! But I need this in dst format. So I digitized it in Design Shop V9, then saved it as a dst. When saving in dst I chose 1 jump per trim, but it is not trimming.

I have grouped the elements of each letter together and then selected every 5th letter to sew one after another - thinking that if they are far enough apart it will auto trim. But it is not working.

    Any suggestions?

You need to use 6 jumps between per trim.

I gave up and redigitized the patch in Embird. I saved it in tap, which is a format my Happy Voyager likes AND it will recognize trims. It takes 15 min per patch. Did most of them last night and am finishing them this morning. This is a "In Memory Of" patch and the funeral is today. Nothing like just making the deadline (no pun intended).

I'd still like to know how to get trims in a dst format.

6 jumps? I went the other way and reduced it to 1 jump. No wonder it didn't work! Thanks for the info - I'll be sure to remember that.
