There is a way to change the grid to a different color. Is there a way to change the hoop outline to a different color so when designing something in black, it is easier to see???

I'm not at my DS computer, but if I remember correctly you can right click on the grid button to open the grid parameters. You can change the grid size and, I think, choose red or black. I know you have the option of putting the x/y axis lines in front of the design; default is behind the design. Maybe you can do this with the grid too. I don't think you can do anything with the hoop outline, but something I have done for other reasons is digitize a walk stitch of the hoop limits and save it as a design in any color you want. You can then paste the hoop limit design into your current project.
