Changing it to Large Icons makes no difference. DS just doesn't work consistently with Windows 7 when it comes to showing a preview of the files in the file listing (NOT in the DS Preview window).

Ok
Here is the deal
If your running DS9 In a compatibility mode it will not show all the preview Icons.
If you change it to Windows 7 the icon previews will be seen.
You can select the compatibility by right clicking on the Icon that you open DS9 with and choose properties and then the compatibility tab set it for Win7 and you will then see the preview Icons.

If you read my post
You can select the compatibility by:
1: Right click on the Icon that you open DS9 with.
This is the one on your desk top. not inside the program.
2: choose properties (the last item in the right Click Menu)
3: then the compatibility tab set it for Win7
and you will then see the preview Icons.

Oh, OK, sorry, I wasn't following you re: the compatibility mode changing -- doing it with the main DS9 Icon -- thanks!
But, I did that, rebooted, and now when I'm in DS9 and listing files to open, it still only shows "white pages" no preview icons of any of the files? I looked at all my folders and they're all the same. Thanks!<br />MJ, Everything Embroidered

If it did not solve your issue change it back to the compatibility it was previously.

the only DS that is compatable with windows 7 is DS9.
This may be your problem
windows 7 did not exist when that version came out.

OK, however every other folder I look in on my machine it will read and display with no issues. I re-imaged the machine back to XP and still same issue. Will not view any files or folders under that folder where ALL of my artwork resides. Very frustrating and Melco is ZERO help...
I am thankful for this forum though
