Trying to catch up

I know I am behind the times as I just upgraded to V9 of Design shop Pro+. I was happy with V7 what can I say. Having to get a new computer has forced me into V9. Needless to say I am having an EXTREMELY difficult time trying to digitize in V9. Where the hell is the complex column stitch choice? I can't seem to do any editing of lettering. I click on stitches I might want to move and nothing happens when I try to drag them.
I have watched the melco university online webinars but just did not get a whole lot out of them.

Any ideas on how best to learn this version? I am wasting so much time. Thanks to all that can help and who were up to date in a more timely manner.

Reading the help section is very useful when changing to version 9 DS. I too had problems trying to find what I wanted to do that I was able to do in 7. Just go to the ? or word HELP in DS. You'll be digitizing again in no time.
