Can't Load Design-Group Names

I have a design that is about 24K stitches. There is a name field at the bottom of the design. The name field is set up as a group name field. There are about 20 names in the list. I saved it initially as and ofm file and then as both an exp and a cnd file. The file (ofm) without the group name checked or loaded with names loads and sew OK. Neither the cnd or exp files will load. No errors. Have let it run for over 20 minutes. Eventually, it looks like it is loading (window with slider bar) but then nothing happens. OS 9.00.099, Windows 7 Home Premium. The only other software loaded on that computer is Norton 360.

Anyone have any thoughts. It takes over 5 minutes to load the single name version.

Norton will slow things down for sure. I don't recommend it. Try shutting Norton off, and then see if your software runs smoother. You'll know for sure then.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have closed down Norton and it does load faster. However, I have had a problem ever since I upgraded everything together: new computer, Windows 7 Home Premium, and AOS 9. This computer is dedicated to AOS. It has two ethernet boards, one for the Amayas and one for my LAN (so that I can pick up designs from the other computer with DS 9). When AOS starts everything works fine, but over time, each design takes longer and longer to load. I restart AOS (without rebooting windows and leaving the Amayas on) and it works fine, but gets slower and slower to load over time. Currently, this is making me crazy because I have 60 shirts with a 24K design and each one gets a unique name with the logo. So, because I can't get the group names feature to load with cnd or exp files, I am typing the names one by one and reloading the design 60 times and having to stop and reload AOS from time to time.

Is anyone else running windows 7 home premium with AOS 9 with or without the loading problem?

I can go to windows explorer and copy files back and forth from the two computers without any slowdown, so I think the problem is in AOS?
