OS Crash

My hard disk crashed and is was running XP and OS 7.0... I got a new hard disk and installed everything but the OS crashes after a few minutes every time. Am I missing a network driver or something else?

I need help fast... you can call me directly at 503-201-3386 if you have any ideas

PS... I would go to Windows 7 but I can't afford the OS upgrade right now

The network card properties has to be set properly. Unfortunately I am out for the day and do not have the settings handy. Hopefully a tech will be able to help here or walk you thru it.
