Can I load a design that has Acti Feed Auto in the design, I have OS 4.01. It shows as an option but when I go to save in exp the software will not let me. Melco told me I had to upgrade.

An EXP file will not contain that kind of data.

EXP and DST files are "stitch formats" and only contain three pieces of data:
stitch coordinates,
trim commands,
color change commands.

You would need to save this as an OFM file and then send it to the machine. It will only work if you have Amaya OS version 6 or higher because that is when the Auto Acti-feed feature was released.

But, seriously, if you are running version 4 software, you may want to upgrade your Amaya OS software simply for the benefits of Auto Acti-feed. It makes a big difference in the quality of your sewouts. If you think the quality of your work is just fine,... then there's no need to upgrade and just ignore the option for Auto Acti-feed in Design Shop.

Personally, I would at least upgrade to version 7.
