  • CSA/RSA machine/computer issue

Due to a "bleepin" virus, my main laptop is out of commission for at least 10 days. I am trying to get an older laptop to work with my XT until I can get it back. The motem is fried on this one and after loading OS9 & VS9, it's telling me that the CSA & RSA don't match. Obviously because there have been updates that were downloaded to the machine by my newer laptop. Since I can not connect to the internet to update the OS9 I just loaded, what can I do? Is there a way to force download from machine to computer??
Extremely Frustrated, need to finish a job.
    Thanks in Advance,

In the os settings, you just need to check the box to force download (open os and do that before you turn the machines on - then turn em on after checked). It will then push the version on your notebook to the machines, and all will be well.

Thanks for the reply John, it seems to be running OK now. The machine has the most up to date version than the laptop. I knew force download worked from laptop to machine but I was thinking it needed to accept a download from the machine. It said to close OS and turn off the machine to correct. We did that twice but the alert kept popping up. Tried it again later, and it didn't pop up. I'm going with it, it seems to be sewing out OK.
Never a dull moment in this business...
      Thanks again,
