  • using ttf fonts

when using design shop pro+ you get a code sheet with your installed embroidery fonts. but you have the capability of using .ttf fonts does anyone have any good general guidelines for limitations and settings of these fonts? mainly wandering whats the smallest i could go with these fonts.

Close DesignShop. drop the font in C:\Windows\Fonts. Open DesignShop and you will see it in the drop down list.
Always run a test of the font on scrap material. Certain TTF fonts do not work well.

Not every TTF is created equal. Some are horrible, some are passable, some are excellent.

so its basically a guess and check sort of thing? I am going to have to use some of the basic common fonts that aren't in embroidery fonts. most of which is general sans serif fonts. I was hoping there would be some sort of general guideline for certain fonts.
