  • PES file conversion issues

I digitized a logo that I can stitch and it's ok. When I try to convert it to a pes file (that's the only format my client can use) it has a lot of jump stitches between the letters, which is an issue since it's small lettering and having to trim one by one will be a pain. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance,

How small is the lettering? If it is really small I would connect the letters as small lettering looks better when connected to eachother. Hope that makes sense.

    What software are you using?

I am using Design Shop Pro 9, the latest update out there.

      The font is under .25
The thing is that this only happens with PES.

I understand that the pes file has "issues" but I am not knowledgeable enough to explain why.
Most people who can accept pes can accept dst or exp. First, check with them about these formats.
I don't use Design shop for digitizing, but the software that I use has a machine format option to choose the number of jumps that constitute a trim. You may be able to fine tune the file using an option like this.

Is your client using a home embroidery machine by brother??
If it were a PR600 or PR620 this would not be an issue.

If her machine can trim jumps She could use home editint software like Buzzedit or Embird to add the jump stitches.
From what I see in your picture the threads in between the letters are no being saved as jumps.
If you need I could insert the jumps for you in PES format.
          It would not take long.

Also If this font is less then .25" it may not stitch very well this those serifs.

              Jerome, I appreciate your help.
I stitched out (hope that's how to say it) and it does look ok, I think. I am sending you the files.
              Thank you so much.
Oh, and I think she has a small brother machine, she told me she can ONLY open PES.

So, what do you do when you need really small font? I know that the font I used said in the code sheet that the minimum was .25 in, and mine were under that, so what do you do if you need something smaller? Do you digitize letter by letter?

use a Micro block font it has no serifs and is a much lower density then you used.

I installed all the trims in your designs for you but the density is very high for such small letters.
                  I wish you luck.
