  • pictures for web site

I am trying to get information and pictures together for a web site and I would like to have designs displayed on tees, sweatshirts etc. I was looking at other web sites and found one that has pictures of the garment with a design on it. The garment is filled out like a person is wearing it, but there is no person. Does anyone know where you can get the template picture of garments that I could add the design to? Below is a link to what I am looking for. Maybe there is software you can purchase to do this?

It looks like it is pinned up on a tackboard of some sort with a mold inside the body of the shirt. Cafepress and Zazzle spends millions of dollars a year on their website.
The other option is 'borrow' an image and photoshop in your customers design.

Look close-the images are not 'conformed' to the body shape. They just have a background image of a shirt. If this is what you want have your hubby or mate put on a white shirt and stand against a dark wall, take a digital picture, then go into photoshop and crop out all the excess and 'voila'...there you go. But it will STILL look like a flat image superimposed over the shirt.
I deal with dozens of companies for my retail store-and they use either a live model or a store dummy and each shirt is fully printed and then photographed on the model-so the image follows the body contour. If all you want to do is show the size of the design compared to a normal shirt, then the photo work I suggested will work for you.

        Mary~

I just answered your question on the Amaya yahoo group but will post for others to see as well.

I agree most of the distributors have blank images for you to use but if you
want something of a generic form check the different graphic places online as
they have generic templates for shirts, sweatshirts etc for websites. You will
want a vector file so you can change the color of the shirts if you want so they
        aren't all white.

        Good Luck!

Hi Mary, Justin here from Melco.
I deal with this exact problem almost daily.
Here's a great source for you:
          http://www.istockphoto.com/file_sear...=blank%20shirt

The website is istockphoto.com. It's a stock photo site, where you can purchase individual images at very affordable prices, and you don't run the risk of copyright infringement. You can get both vector or raster images, some with the background knocked out. There is a great selection, lots of colors and styles. Some even have images already on them, just do a few different keyword searches.

Just a tip, if you're using these for web purposes only, download the lowest quality to save even more money (you don't need more than 72 ppi for web).

          Hope this helps!

          Justin

                        Hi Curtis~

I actually have Advanced Artist Corel training cd's. Checked out his site again and the tshirt design plugin is something new so I might just have to investigate that plugin some more...

                        Thanks for the great headsup!
