  • Color Wheel

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a Color Wheel to use when selecting thread colors for items to embroider. I have been asked many times to choose what ever color I think will look best. I hate it when they do that to me since I always tell them I'd rather them choose the color. What I like or think looks good may not be what they like or would choose. When I do a logo and it's more than one color this is hard to come up with two colors that will look good together and go with the color of the item too. It's mostly friends and family and I don't mind it but I would really love to have a color guide to go by when choosing colors to go with the item I am embroidering. Thanks...Jenny

A color wheel can be found at any good 'arts & crafts' store, near a college, Dick Blick (online catalog) or store that has artist supplies-canvas, pen sets, calligraphy supplies.
I have one floating around here somewhere...can't find it or I'd give you the mfg. name off it.
Great thing to have if you can't come up with good color combos-just spin the wheel to the color you have, other side of the 'windows' in the wheel show you contrast, compatible, etc. colors.
We're trying to find it now-have 12 different color totes to put the same logo on and they want 'contrasting' colors on each one.Found the one I have on-line...http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discou...CID=C12646x001

Thanks...I called a friend whose husband is a manager of a paint store to see if they have one...I don't want to pay a lot for it...I found some on-line last night but they were too expensive...I don't need a color thread chart I have those I want one that will let me know what colors go with another color etc...thanks...Jenny

Plenty of color wheels online if you are looking for complimentary colors - no need to buy anything.
