Samme,
Remember the "Subtract Elements" icons I showed you?
This only works on "fills" not columns. Select two fill elements in the project tree. A little set of blue and red balls will light up in the tool bar....this is in Ver7. I believe Ver9 put them under a drop down list in "Objects"...will have to check on that one....anyway "Right" click on the red/blue(Subtract Element) icon and this will allow you to set an overlap. then "Left click on the red/blue(Subtract Element) icon and bingo, the stitches are cut out.
For the rest of the design, as far as column stitches go, using the split element, and delete will allow you to delete sections of unwanted satin stitches.
When overlapping two designs and using these tools, it is best to select all of one design and move it in the project tree to combine the two designs into one. Kind of a pain with lots of color changes but sometimes it is the only way.
As Judy says, sometimes wireframing is necessary also....depends on the designs..
