    Has anyone seen any distressed embroidered fonts for embroidery?

    Have someone wanting it done and wanted to know if anyone knew of where I could get it.

    Thanks;

    From what I know about distressed fonts is that they look like fonts that are really messed up. Almost like the ink was still wet and then got sat on.
    I haven't heard of anyone offering digitized distressed fonts and frankly speaking, I'm not sure I'd want to try to digitize them. With all their scattered and random shading and uneven edges. But hey, I'm sure someone out there would be willing to tackle it for the right price. Larger letters would have to be much easier than smaller letters when trying to achieve the best detail.

    Are you looking for an entire alphabet of a particular font or just a few letters???

      Hey, You know what might give you a distressed look,.....
      What if you were to use a two colored variegated thread where one of the two colors or shades matches the color of the garment. That way the second color would stand out in an inconsistent pattern possibly giving you a distressed look to most regular fonts?????

      You know, kind of what it looks like when bobbin thread shows itself on the top side of the garment.

      Hey, it's late here and my mind is wandering.
      Good luck Tina.

        I have several fonts in my collection for graphics that are 'distressed', plus a 'fill' that can be applied in one program to simulate it for screenprinting. Haven't seen it in embroidery yet-but it does sound like a great idea! If you try the variegated thread idea I think you would want to kick the density way up-to get away from a solid fill pattern.
        Let us know if it works!

          Hey Guys!

          I found a TTF distressed font and I ended up converting it to stitches and I think that will work I haven't had a chance to stitch it out yet but I think it will work for what my client wants! It just takes a bit to edit it is all.
