DS 2009 Questions

Hi

We now have DS Pro + 09 and have a few questions that an expert here might be able to answer:

1. How do you hide thread colors in the design?
2. How do you assign a specific thread color by number?
3. Also design shop 09 seems to freeze up a bunch and then I have to restart it. Sometimes the design I am working on becomes invisable also.

General question:

1. Sling-backs - One of our machines does sling backs. Any way to fix this?

I'll take the first two questions:

To the left of the Color box there are tow little squares. One of them (the one one the right) is for locking the elements, and the one on the left is the red eye. Click that and the color hides. You can click on the + sign and now you can hide the elements individually. That is a great feature.

To assign a color by number, right click on the color (over on the right panel) and select "Color". Select your brand and then put the number in the box labeled Find Number and hit apply. Sometimes you may have to do this twice for it to "take."

Steve,
I've heard of "sling shots" but not "sling backs".
Could this be the same thing. What is your description of a sling back?
