AMAYA LITE - more info please

As a user of two amaya XT's I have been following the discussion board with interest since the beginning - many thanks for all the usefull tips and tricks to all of you - specially all the tech's on the board. I have finally a question myself. I have come across an austrian distributer of Amaya's offering a AMAYA LITE, which seems to be a software downgraded version of an AMAYA XT apperently for a very reasonable price. Reduced speed (max 1000 stitches), lots of the OS SE features not available - even the laserpointer is switch of. Can anyone give me more info on this AMAYA package Please can't find anything about it anywhere ??

I'm suprised this isn't offered in the U.S. I think it would do well here going against the Tajima NEO and the Compact SWF machines.

I just got home from the DAX show which Melco had one booth. I spoke to both salespeople there (One was from Denver and one was local to Minnesota) and showed them the website on my Blackberry. Neither salesperson knows anything about this machine. The salesperson from Denver said all Melco embroidery machines are made in Denver and he was going to contact Werner to see what they are selling.

Unless they have changed their mind since Jan 09, I believe it is still available. We were told about it in training.

There are many functions that are not available though.

It's no wonder they can sell this package more cheaply! They require you to also purchase a "Zusatzpaket" along with the machine.

Herb, weren't you selling "Zusatzpakets" last year? But you were charging way more than € 250, right?
Do you have any of these "Zusatzpakets" left in your inventory? I might be willing to buy one at an "interesting price".
