  • Outline Stitch on Fonts

    Hey All:

Cloudy brain today but can't figure something out. We have a crazy font a customer gave us that sews out ok and we needed a bean stitch outline around the letters to make them stand out and more defined.

Used the outline function in Design Shop and it looks "good enough" for this project, but the way it sews the outlines leaves a ton of jump stitches to take out. These letters are right next to one another and tightly kerned so if it sewed correctly, there wouldn't even be a need to cut anything out.

Is there some way to change where the connectors are on the outline? The letters sew out properly and connect at the closest point... it's only the outline that then sews out opposite of how I'd want it.

    Help.

    John,

Is your lock and trim not working properly?
Highlight your text, double click and go to lock and trim and uncheck and check the trim box again. I have noticed with V9 that anything you add after the fact does not hold the previous settings for lock and trim. I just go in after finsihed digitizing and update lock and trim for the entire design. I have also had the auto outlines insert a color change for each outline on each letter when I didn't ask it to.
