installing design shop v9

I am attempting to install my upgrade for design shop and its asking for an access code that seems to be nonexistent! I have looked all over the case, the cd, the brochure that came with it and can't seem to find it. Also was there supposed to be a security key with it or will the one for the v7 work? I was able to pass that. I think I just hit enter or ok. My mind is tired today, I am almost 100% sure I didn't enter code.

Your V7 key will be updated to work with V9 as soon as you enter the re-enable code. If you can not find this code I would suggest you call your sales person or Melco Mart and request another copy of this. This can be emailed to you so make sure to request this service. My cd come with a printed sheet inside which contained an access code. That is the code to use when you install DS. It is used to update the dongle. The code is not necessary when you install the OS.
If you didn't get this code, then call your sales rep.

My access code was missing for my upgrade as well. I had to call MelcoMart to get the code. I spoke with Shanda or Shandra (sorry don't have my call notes in front of me). She called me back within minutes to give me the code. Good Luck!

I got sent an sheet with two codes on it. One was called "Logo express password" and one was called "Ver 9 password".

When I installed Design Shop Pro+ V9 and Amaya OS V9 the install went fine as far as I could tell, and at no time in that process was I asked to input either of those codes. Odd.

Does anyone know if you have to have Version 7 installed before you can install the V9 upgrade. I want to install V9 on my new laptop but I don't have V7 installed on that computer. I upgraded the dongles to USB's from the parellel port dongles and haven't installed yet. I had to return my parellel port dongle before I can get the access codes for the new dongles. Any ideas?

I don't know for a fact, but you shouldn't need to have the previous version installed as long as you have the dongle.

Answer to your question...
No. You do not need to have Ver.7 installed first.
Version 9 has all the files needed on the install disk to allow it to stand on it's own.
