Somewhere I saw where you can combine adjacent same colors. I have three exactly the same yellows and can't find how to combine them into just one coklor change.
In Ver9 ...two ways to find it...select 2 of the like elements you are referring to,in the project tree. You will now see the little red and blue balls light up in the upper icon bar. One is "Subtract elements" and the other is "Combine elements".
Also, in the upper toolbar you can find these same icons under the "Objects" dropdown menu.
If you are trying to combine 2 color changes into one you can use the up arrow to the right of the color in the project view. This will take and combine the color that you click on the up arrow to the color above. When using this tool the colors do not have to be the same. When they combine the lower color in the project list will become part of the color above. The other way you can do this is there is a "auto merge color blocks” on the top of the project view. This will take and atuomaticly combine any colors that are of the same color and are next to each other.
The tool that Rod mentions in the previous post can be used to combine elements into one if they are touching each other.
