    Here's the scoop on updates to v9 as relayed to me this morning.

    If you bought version 7 January 2008 or after, you are eligible for an upgrade to v9. Melco will not contact you though. You will need to contact Melco Mart to request the upgrade.

    Beginning next week, new customers will be receiving v9 with their machines.

    Feb 2 - Training classes start teaching v9. If you have version 7 and your class to learn design shop begins after the 2nd, you will need to upgrade, as you will be taught the new software.

    With the new version, training CDs will not be sent out any longer - no printed manuals either. The help system contains videos and documentation allowing the user to print what they need.

    Current version is 9.00.074

      Do you mean on or after Jan 2008 or do you mean before Jan 2008? As of to me means before Jan, 2008. I would think it is on or after Jan 2008. Thanks for the information.

          BTW, there is a $14.95 shipping/handling fee on the upgrade. Just thought I would pass that along as well.

                he runs the yahoo group for melco and is in charge of weekly specials. if you haven't already heard from someone. I know many Melco employees monitor this list, although now that they have started their own group and website as far as a Melco community they might not monitor this group as much.
