Thanks for the information. I ordered today so first thing Monday I will call. I paid about $945. I just saw your email so too late to call today but will do so Monday. What happened to Lynn Weaver? Is she still there or did new rep replace her? Hey $200 bucks is $200 bucks.

I called today to see about getting my upgrade, but I was going to be charged. I was told that you had to buy a machine and/or software on 2008. I was not on the list to recieve the upgrade for free. We have bought 13 amayas since they were first introduced. We had bought Wilcom from Melco when they were still partners. We bought Design shop pro +V7 last March. I was actually given V8, but it was not a full working edition. So they tell me today i did not qualify. I think i need to talk to my sale rep.

Isn't "last march" 2008? If you bought it in March 08, you should be able to get the upgrade.

I just got an e-mail from Lynn Weaver letting me know that the cost was $945 but the show special where she is going this weekend is $845. She offered it to me at that price. Still think the $745 sounds better.

Can anyone expound on what the new version of software does and why it would be prudent to purchase it? I really like the version I have not of Design Pro +. It would be nice to know more about it from one of the Beta testers out there.

Well guess what? I called Melco this morning and told Nancy Yang I had learned that V9 was being sold for $745 and asked her if she could match that price and she said yes that she had also heard the same thing. Asked her if I needed to call my sales rep and she said no that she could match the price and would credit my credit card. I believe if the truth were known you could get it even cheaper but I don't want to push the envelope too much. I am happy with $745. When I was at a training session last summer, a person at the Melco offices shared this information(about bargaining) and it set my mind in motion. They gave us an overview of V9 saying it would be out about August 08 byt ut didn't happen. Am anxious to get mine and learn all the new things. Hope there will be a training session in Dallas again to cover changes. We can help to make that happen by writing the training dept. director at Melco at. Push for your $745 price because I am sure you can get it. Nancy said to order it on the web and then contact her to make the manual adjustment.

I just tried viewing the webinar video on the version 9 software changes. The audio and video were not in synchrony, so it was too frustrating to watch. Did anyone else have this problem or is it just my computer?
